Happy New Year! Charmaine here with a journal page full of spiritual and creative inspiration! I hope you like the process!
TCW provided me with some awesome goodies to play with, but the opinions and creations are my own.
This gorgeous window is part of Unity Stamp Company’s Whit’s Kit “Anything is Possible” stamp set for January 2021. I stamped it with Gina K Amalgam black ink on printer paper and used Copics for color. Prepare your page with TCW Matte Gel Medium and use more gel medium over the window.
Next, I decided I wanted a dark exterior and the window to be the symbolism of light. So, I used Liquitex Basics Neutral Gray Value 5 all over the page.
The first stencil used for this project is TCW886 with black acrylic paint.
This is my first time using Distress Crayons, and I can kick myself for not using them before. Just scribble and smudge the area with your finger for a smooth and blended look. I also added circles with the TCW384 Well rounded stencil and TCW Silver Gesso.
I really love the TCW909 Quadrangle Fan stencil and have used it in my previous projects. Use a sponge with black acrylic paint for a more grungy look. TCW876 Screen view is another perfect stencil for square motifs.
Wait for the gel to dry, and then use a piece of deco-foil to make a few “blingy” spots on your page.
TCW743 Crazy waves is another fun stencil with 4 different stencils in one. Use Distress oxides for a subtle addition of color to the page.
Finish the page with a sentiment. I stamped it on printer paper and used liquid glue to adhere. I used the General’s Scribe-All pencil to darken the edges of the sentiment.
The window seemed a bit faded against this background and I added more color with Copics for a more vibrant look.
I hope you enjoyed today’s journal spread and will try this with any stamped or printed image.
