Card ~ Mixed Media Greeting Card Sets

Hey friends! Charmaine here with a fun alternative to store-bought card sets as gifts.

It is that time of the year when we look for the perfect gift for that special someone. This year has been hard and most people have turned to local artists for acquiring unique gifts. These card sets are easy to make with the use of TCW Stencils, a Gel Press, and acrylic paints.

Check out my YouTube videos using all these elements.

TCW provided me with some awesome goodies to play with, but the opinions and creations are my own.

I started with building patterns onto the Gel Press Impressable, Retro Leaves. I applied multiple colors through the Cosmic Swirl TCW156 stencil and let it dry. The black paint is used to pull the print onto a heavy cardstock sheet, 120lbs.

Keep adding paint and pulling left over prints.

For the last print, I used my 8×10 Gel Press and built a base color first. I used the Petal Burst TCW904 for some interest and then pulled the last print from the Impressable.

Turn your prints into cards using metal die greetings and coordinating envelopes. I plan to make 4 sets with the 3 prints I created today.

These “hey you” cards were made with a die from Picket Fence Studios. It has a shadow and word die sold as one.

This sentiment and die are from Altenew.

The “wonderful” die is from The Ton Stamps and the “friend” is from Simon Says Stamp.

I hope you enjoyed today’s video. I love to play with my Gel Press. You never know what you will end up with!

Very inky fingers (and face today!)
Charmaine
