Hi! It’s Charmaine with a very personal and thought-provoking journal entry. Don’t you sometimes want to just pack your bags and go? But to where? At least here in my journal, I can work through my emotions and begin the journey of feeling better about my current situation. How do you deal with the anxiety and unsureness of these days?
I made a smashing video on how I used stencils, digital stamps, and pastes for dimension. Here you go! Leave me a comment if you liked it!
TCW provided me with some awesome goodies to play with but the opinions and creations are my own.
Here is what I did:
After pulling the print from my Gel Press onto deli paper, I used TCW 9007 Clear Gesso to adhere the print to my journal. I used a rubber stamp from Unity Stamp Co for the lines on the top and bottom of the page (looks like washi tape to me). After this had dried, I used TCW9001 White Gesso to cover up the dots to make room for the pretty girl. Measure your digital stamp against the white gesso area to make sure that this is a large enough area. This stamp is from Polka Dot Orchard.
I wanted the girl to look out on her colorful future in the big city, so I added the City Buildings stencil all over the page. I started with the darker Copper Modeling paste, then Antique Modeling paste, and ended with the Champagne Modeling paste so it appears that the sun is shining on the buildings.
After everything had dried, I used a sentiment strip from Dylusions Bigger Back Chat and made it look like “stitching” to give the piece a more cohesive-looking.
I hope you love this project as much as I do and will try something new today!
