Hello all my crafty friends! Helen here with an art journal spread using my new products from The Crafter’s Workshop! I was overwhelmed with my DT box, but chose all these goodies below in my instructions to create an ode to my neighbourhood! I really do live an awesome neighborhood!!
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

My steps in this project:
Step 1 – I used TCW9001 White Gesso, to apply a layer to my art journal page using a brush. I quick dried it with my heat tool. The gesso is so creamy and glides on the page smoothly!

Step 2 – I then added a few drops of Dylusions paint in Bubblegum Pink, Fiery Sunset, and Lemon Zest to my page. I smooshed this around using a baby wipe. Don’t let the paint completely dry, as the next step involves removing some of this paint!

Step 3 -While the paint was still a bit wet, I laid down my TCW883 Circle Jumble by Balzer Designs stencil over the middle area and wiped off some paint through the stencil using a baby wipe again. Then I left this to dry.

Step 4 – Once the background was dry, I wanted to add a few more circles here and there. I used Distress Inks, Ripe Persimmon and Picked Raspberry through the same stencil (TCW883 Circle Jumble) to create more circles. I then set this aside for a bit.

Step 5 – To add some contrast to the page, I mixed TCW9004 Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste and Lemon Zest paint together using a palette knife and then swiped this over the X’s of the TCW922 Ethereal stencil by Gabrille Pollacco in the opposite corner areas and one edge of my spread.

Step 6 – I knew I wanted to add a banner of sorts to my finished product, so I used some pink scrapbook paper and TCW922 Ethereal stencil and TCW9004 Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste to add some wording to my paper before I cut it into banners. I used a palette knife for this. The TCW9004 Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste is what is stands for… definitly light and fluffy and allows for beautiful definition through the stencil.

Step 7 – Assembly! I added my banners using some floss and brads to the top right and beside my little snarky girl! I added a few black and white splatters using some inks sprays. Added some washi tape, my little girl and my sentiment! Voila! Done!!!! I am not sure she likes my neighbours.. but I do!

Thanks for taking the time to see my project for today!
Happy Creating!!
Helen
