Stenciled Storage

January always seems to bring out the need to organize in me. I decided this post I would decorate a basic box to store all my 6″ x 6″ stencils. These boxes can be found at big box craft stores or can be created out of chipboard.

To add a pop of color, I used a 5″ x 7″ Gelli Plate. I rolled on a combination of warm tones to the gel plate.

I applied the Gel Plate directly to the sides and top of the box.

After allowing the mono prints to dry, I stenciled using two cool colors of liquid acrylic paint using TCW828 Big Flower.

Next, using TCW876 Screen View and TCW9037 Grecian Gold Modeling paste, I added color and texture to the box corners. This is a favorite stencil of mine!

Over the stenciled background, I used TCW851 Dotted Rings to create a unifying pattern to all sides and top.

Once dry, I was able to put my stencils inside and I now have a pretty box to store them!

The Crafters Warehouse provided me with some of the products used to create this project but the opinions about them is entirely my own.

Thanks for joining me today! Happy New Year!! Laura
