Summertime Art Journal

Hello Crafty Friend,

Marie-Christine with you today with an art Journal page and some beautiful summer stencils. I was inspired by this vintage illustration I found on Pinterest, I wanted to take you for a walk in a pretty flowers garden, so come with me !

***The crafter’s workshop provided me some products to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.***

How to do

First, I applied some TCW9001 white Gesso and when it was dry I made my colour background with TCW9016 Spun Sugar Heavy Body Paint, TCW9021 Blueberry Pie Heavy body Paint, TCW9023 Blue Jellybean Heavy Body Paint, TCW9024 Kale Smoothie Heavy Body Paint, TCW9017 Lemon Custard Heavy Body Paint.

I made waves with my brush to give movement.

I let it dry for one night, then I used two stencils, TCW831 Faithful Tree and TCW845 Wisteria with TCW9046 White Modeling Paste.

I colored on the modelling Paste with Promarkers.

I also used TCW513 Flying Garden, adhered my vintage image to the right bottom with TCW9011 Matte Gel Medium and added a small title to the opposite.

Here the result, do you like my Blooming Garden?

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope my tutorial inspired you!

We would love to see what you create with The Crafters Workshop Stencils and Mediums. You can share it with us on our Facebook Page, Instagram and Pinterest using hashtag #stencillove.

  1. Love this. Do you like the heavy body paints better or do you use it depending on what you want to create? Thanks.
