This is Ujjwal and I am so glad to be back here after a short hiatus because I missed art journaling so much while I was away. Today, I am sharing an art journal page that I had so much fun with.
I had also documented the entire process in a video to share with you but unfortunately, I lost it. I will, however, try to write clear instructions to help you understand how the journal page developed from the beginning. The supplies used are also listed at the end of this post in case you want to check them out.

I already had some leftover pink and green paint smudged onto this page. I do that often with my leftover paints from a project, so nothing goes to waste and I already have a start for the new page. So, I added some TCW9021 Blueberry Pie Heavy Body Paint and TCW9018 Orange Slice Heavy Body Paint to it.
Next, I used the TCW825 Love Frame Stencil and a wet wipe over the still wet paint to create a faint pattern in the background. Once it was dry, I used the TCW851 Dotted Rings Stencil with some TCW9016 Spun Sugar Heavy Body Paint and wet wipe to add more interest.
Once the background was completely dry, I drew the girl with charcoal pencil and then colored it with TCW9015 Black Licorice Heavy Body Paint and TCW9016 Spun Sugar Heavy Body Paint. I also added a little bit of TCW9020 Raspberry Sorbet Heavy Body Paint for rosy cheeks.
Next, I used the TCW857 Sunflower Mandala Stencil with TCW9036 Champagne Gold Modeling Paste to depict the sun and add a butterfly using TCW849 Butterfly Reflections.
And then to complete it, I hand wrote the sentiment “Some days you have to create your own sunshine”, which was what I based this page on.
