Hello there TCW fans!!!! I am so glad to be back after 2 months away and today I am sharing an art journal page I created using one of my favourite stencils from the new winter 2019 release!!! There is also a video at the end of the blog if you would to see me in action. So let’s get to it…..
To begin with I trimmed some watercolour paper to fit my square Dylusions art journal. Then used Distress Oxide Sprays – Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Cracked Pistachio. I used my heat tool to dry in between colours and also sprayed some water to help the spray move around on my paper.
Next I sprayed Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Spray onto TCW267 Ledger. Then I sprayed some water onto the stencil, flipped it over and flicked the remaining spray all over my paper.
I dried my paper with my heat tool, then using the same stencil and sponge dauber, I applied Distress Oxide Ink Walnut Stain.
Next I used TCW854 Layered Wallpaper and TCW9009 Black Modeling Paste to the corners of my page.
Once it dry, I then stamped Coffee Archival Ink and Darkroom Door Stamp Numbers Border. I also stamped another number stamp around the edges of the page using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink.
I used Distress Oxide inks and sprays Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Vintage Photo to stamp Darkroom Door’s Butterfly stamp. I wrapped some gold and white twine around the page, adhered the butterflies and finished off with some Tim Holtz stickers.
