I love to take a home decor piece and make it a little mixed media. I used a kit of wood and paper that is made for a Valentine’s decor item, and turned it into something amazing with TCW paints and stencils!
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.
Check out the video below to see how to make this fun Valentine decor piece!
I started by painting the back layer with TCW9019 Candy Apple Red Heavy Body Paint and letting it dry. I then painted the wooden key letters in TCW9019 Candy Apple Red Heavy Body Paint and TCW9014 Iridescent Silver Heavy Body Paint and let them dry as well. Once the back panel was dry I used TCW439 Stencil Retro Bursts with a red ink and a stencil brush to add a layer of interest to the back. I just did the edges as that is all you still see when the layers are glued together.
