MERRY CHRISTMAS ARTY FRIENDS!

Today I wanted to do a fun little Christmas page with a gingerbread man.

To start with my layering I use Lemon Zest Dylusions paint with TCW New Port Tiles – I start off with light colors at the bottom through larger stencils and later work with darker colors and smaller stencil openings.

Next I layer up using Dylusions Paint  in Fresh lime and Dirty Martini.  I use the larger 12 x 12 TCW Block Mesh as well as the then smaller 6 x 6 TCW Script dot stencil.

Even more layers now with smaller details and darker colors, I am using Dylusions paint in Polished Jade through the 6 x 6 stencil from TCW Coronet wreath.  I want to fill up more space with this darker green so I am using the 6 x 6 TCW Leaf Collection stencil.  Now to bring the whole thing together, I want to mute the page a bit, so I am applying TCW Shimmery Goodness with a cosmetic sponge all over the entire page. I cut out a ginger bread man out of Kraft paper, using the templates on my Brother Scan n Cut, and adhered him to my page using TCW Matte Gel Medium. Now I am shading using a Stabillo All Pencil in Black – and also using Jane Davenport Mermaid markers around the cookie.Next I add some TCW Gold Gesso with a pallet knife, and while it is still wet, I scribble journal in it, so add some texture. Finally I add the finishing touches by sticking down some alpha stickers to spell out MERRY CHRISTMAS and added some Tim Holtz – Idea-ology – Chatter washi.
