I loved mixed media and home decor, so I decided to blend the two ideas together and make a fun pumpkin decor item for my house for the autumn. It also make for a awesome centerpiece for Thanksgiving!
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.
Check out the video to see all the layers of fun these pumpkins have!
I used a ton of different modeling pastes in a variety of metallic colors to paint and to also stencil the pumpkins and wood embellishments. The ones I used are TCW9036 Champagne Gold Modeling Paste, TCW9038 Antique Gold Modeling Paste, , plus some TCW9018 Orange Slice Heavy Body Paint mixed in the a few of them to give a more rustic orange tone . The smaller pumpkin I stenciled for a different look. I used the TCW804 Mesh Blocks by Rebekah Meier to give a different look from the back pumpkin that had a series of circles on it.
I added some raffia to the top, glued the two layers together and done, a fun mixed media decor piece!!
