Hey everyone, Erin Reed here today. This is my first post for TCW as a designer and I am so happy to be on board! I make all kinds of fun crafts, from various paper crafts to home decor items to kids crafts, relly i just love to getr crafty any way I can. I hope to inspire and get you crafting and have fun while creating. So with that let’s get started with today’s project. Stencils are so versatile and make such cool backgrounds. This easy technique is great with some chalk ink and any TCW Stencil. Grab your favorite color of ink and TCW stencil and let’s make some cards!

Here is a video on how to make these fun and easy background using TCW stencils for cards or any type of paper crafts.
I used Gabrielle Pollacco’s stencil TCW 743 Crazy Waves in the 6×6 size. Pick your favorite color of ink and have a blast creating some stunning background!
The first card I made was all purple. Purple ink also some purple foiled paper, lots of layers of purple going on here, hehe. A little stamp with some butterflies as the title popped up completes with any occasion card.
The second card I made I still used the purple ink, but this time I used a black foiled paper to give a relief of color in the layers. I also switched the orientation of the stencil so the design is going the other way. I love this stencil as it gives a cool effect no mater what direction you pick for it to go! It has so much interest it really makes the card almost done for you.
