Gift Set by Farrel Tailor

Hi there TCW fans! Today I would like to share with you all how I created my own wrapping paper and card for a dear friend of mine.

To begin I started with the wrapping paper, for this I used plain white tissue paper. I mixed TCW9016 Spun Sugar Heavy Body Acrylic Paint with TCW9020 Raspberry Sorbet and TCW9024 Kale Smoothie Heavy Body Acrylic Paint.

I also mixed TCW9016 Spun Sugar Heavy Body Acrylic Paint with TCW9022 Grape Jelly Heavy Body Acrylic Paint to create the tones I wanted.

I also used TCW9018 Orange Slice and TCW9013 Iridescent Gold Heavy Body Paint as my other 2 colours. Next using the rough side of the tissue paper I applied my paints to TCW779 Wild Roses 12×12 stencil using a make up sponge.

I set it aside to dry, I didn’t use a heat tool as I didn’t want to burn the tissue paper and this is how it turned out.

Now for the card, I used TCW779 Wild Roses 6×6 stencil for my card and used washi tape to keep the stencil in place.

The tool I have used is from Kmart here in Australia and it is a make up sponge and brush. I found this was great as it has a tip on it. I used Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Evergreen Bough as they were the closest colours I had to match the wrapping paper.

Then I added TCW9013 Iridescent Gold Heavy Body Paint to finish off the background.

I then stamped my sentiment using my Stamp Platform and a Heidi Swapp stamp set onto some white cardstock.

To finish off the card, I inked around the edges using Distress Ink Victorian Velvet and my blending tool. Then used foam dots to adhere my sentiment.

Thanks for dropping in and I hope I have inspired you to create your own wrapping paper for that special friend.
