Be a rainbow

Hello Everyone! I am Anna, one of the TCW Brand Ambassadors, and I am super excited to be here again with my new art journal spread.

I LOVE Butterflies so much and when I saw this amazing stencil, TCW816 Bird and Butterflies designed by Gabrielle Pollacco, I couldn’t resist and had to just relax my mind and create.

I went through my stash and grabbed some tissue tape, stickers and all amazing TCW goodies such as TCW9001 White Gesso, TCW9004 Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste and four colors of heavy body acrylic paints; TCW9017 Lemon Custard, TCW9023 Blue Jellybean, TCW9020 Raspberry Sorbet and TCW9024 Kale Smoothie. They are so rich in pigment so you need just a tiny bit.

I wasn’t sure how my project would turn out but I had this idea in my mind for a while to use TCW heavy body acrylic paints and dilute them with water to get watercolor effect. I didn’t want to just paint watercolors picture so I’d grab cellophane bag to experiment a bit and the effect I got was amazing. So yes you can use heavy body acrylic paints and achieve watercolor effect. I was super pleased with that look I got on my pages.

As you may already know, I love texture too so I used TCW Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste with that beautiful Butterflies stencil and to finish it off and I added sticker.

And ta da 🙂

This art journal is easy and fun to create and I hope you will find this post inspirational to create . So grab your tools and have fun creating .

Here are close ups of my project
