Hello, it’s Gracie Chavez. Today I have a card to share 0n which I tried out a few of my favorite techniques using TCW Heavy Body Paint. These Winter butterflies look even more elegant on real life especially with the sparkly metallic background.
To begin I watered down some TCW9014 Iridescent Silver Heavy Body Paint 4 0z. and started painting a white card panel. I used the paint as a watercolor in this case.
While the paint was still wet y poured some iridescent glitter. The glitter will stick to the paint creating a shimmery finish.
I waited for the paint to dry and next I stenciled half of the pattern from TCW721 Big Wreath 6″x 6″ stencil using TCW9004 Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste.
I applied a thick layer of modeling paste to give the stenciled wreath a lot of dimension. I lifted the stencil carefully and washed it. I was left with this beautiful detailed pattern that I embellished with white wrinkle ribbon, and 2 stamped and heat embossed butterflies -one on white cardstock and another one on vellum- both stamped with my kit Spark by Unity Stamp Co.
This is a beautiful, elegant card that is perfect for any occasion during the Winter season. I think this would even work for a wedding as it is so delicate and has so many different layers of texture. That’s it for now. Thanks so much for reading. Until next time.
It would make a beautiful Multi Media Canvas with a picture of Bride and Groom at the Reception! I love butterflies and the is amazing!
Gorgeous!!!
Magnifique !
