LOVE Art Journal Page by Farrel Tailor

Hello TCW Fans!!!! How lucky am I to be able to share with you one of my favourite art journal pages on my birthday?!! I couldn’t think of a better time to be sharing the “LOVE”!!!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

I started my background by tearing a page from a dictionary and adhering it using TCW9011 Matte Gel Medium. Once I gave it a quick dry with my heat gun, I then started applying my acrylic paint. I used my fingers to apply the paint as I love the effect you get and I love getting my hands messy lol. So I started from light to dark – Fluro Yellow, Fluro Green, Fluro Orange, Fluro Pink and last of all Fluro Purple.

Next I used TCW737s Love Sonnet stencil and not using the whole stencil, I applied TCW9023 Blue Jellybean Heavy Body Acrylic paint using a make up blending sponge.

Once that was dry, I then applied TCW9022 Grape Jelly acrylic paint through the circles of TCW754 Distressed Details. Using the same stencil, I then used the mesh pattern and TCW9016 Spun Sugar acrylic paint on both pages. On the left page I did however flip the stencil over and sponged the reverse side with paint.

I added a scribble circle stamp and cross stamp and used Versafine Black Onyx and added some doodling around the stamped images using paint pens.

Next using TCW9015 Black Licorice acrylic paint and TCW527 Word Association, I sponged the word “LOVE” and also the stars on the bottom left hand page and top right hand page. Then to finish it off I put the stencil back over the stars and used a yellow paint pen to trace around the stars and I also used a pink paint pen to highlight “LOVE”.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you would like to see me in action please click on the video below.
