This is my last post for the design team! It has been a fun two years and I have learned so much from the other design team members. The new team is in place and I know you will enjoy their projects as well. As a way to reflect back on my time with The Crafter’s Workshop and look forward to what my future holds, I created a vision board in my art journal. I videoed the process so that you could follow along with me…The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. I used my cardboard junk journal to work in, along with stencils, acrylic paint, paint markers and found words from magazines.

The first stencil I used was the 6×6 version of Julie’s Words. This was my way of journaling all about the creative magic that happened during the making of my posts over the last two years.

After adding gesso over the background words, I lined up the next two stencils, Mondrian-esque and Charlize, to make sure of my placement of the face later.

The Crafter’s Workshop heavy body acrylics, a little water and a paint brush gave the page these wonderful color grids.

I ended up stenciling on the face twice. Once for placement and again after I had used gesso to push back the background color to allow the face to stand out more.

Inktense pencils added some pretty color to the face and a bit of doodling added more texture to her hair. Then all the words for my vision board were added with a glue stick. I keep a small tray of words and phrases cut out from magazines by my art table. Looking through them always gives me ideas to work off of. This time the words were a way to process the changes happening around me!
