There are days when I can’t get my head around any project. I want to create but I want it to be easy, simple, cheerful! Well, here’s one of those projects that I ended up with during those crazy days…
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.
I started off by scribbling all over a small art journal with my Inktense pencils.
I then used a baby wipe to liquify the pencil marks and create a fun rainbow of color for my background. I constantly used a fresh part of the baby wipe in order not to blend the colors to mud.
I grabbed the 6×6 Geo Explosion stencil, some black acrylic paint and a makeup sponge to paint in the mandala. Instead of centering it in the middle of the page, I opted to split the mandala off the edges of the two pages.
The last step was to doodle away! I used the open shapes the stencil created to add white onto the black background. I added a few black doodles as well. To tie both sides of the mandala together, I added white bubbles across the background. And there you have it…an easy way to add some color and design to your art journal without too much thinking!
Thanks for joining me today…
