Hello crafty friends! Kim here today to share with you a two-page part journal spread that I created using Gloss Gel Medium and the Daisy Chain 12×12 stencil. (I also used a ton of other stencils to decorate my houses, and you can find those product links at the bottom of today’s post). I’ll also be sharing a fun gel medium resist technique with you, which you can see in the video.
Now, although the 12×12 stencil may feature daisies, the design actually reminded me of snowflakes, which was the inspiration for my layout. It also seems I may have the holidays on my mind…
I’ll share a few photos below, but I also created a start-to-finish video, which you can find after the photos. I’m working in a Dylusions art journal, and I started by applying the gel medium with a pallet knife.
As the gel medium was drying, I got to work on die cutting and decorating my houses. I used a combination of my favorite stencils, rub ons, metal embellishments, and vintage book text. Here’s a quick look at how the stenciling looked on the houses. I used Distress Ink with the stencils.
And here’s the full video!
Thank you so much for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed my project! Take a look at the product links below.
