Subtle Stenciled Background with Laurel Beard

Subtle Stenciled Background 1 with Laurel Beard

Hi there everyone! Laurel Beard here today! I wanted to show you how you can use your stencils in a subtle way to create a striking background that pairs as a perfect backdrop for your stamped images! I used the Mini Chevron 6×6 stencil to selectively blend the chevron image onto the background of my card panel. If you look carefully, you will see there are bits and pieces of the chevron patterns blended on the background of the card! I used distress ink to blend the design, but you could use any ink you want.

After I blended the design thru the stencil, I finished off the card with some colored floral die cuts and a sentiment. I think having that design in the background really helps to finish off the card.

Thanks so much for joining me today!!! I will see you back here soon!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with the stencils to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.
