Hi everyone, Mou Saha from colorhappycreations.com here today with a guest blog post for The Crafter’s Workshop! I am going to share with you my process for creating the above art journal spread. So, let’s get started!
I’m working in an old book today. You could use any journal really. Start by priming the pages with gesso.
Once the gesso dries, color the pages with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos® colors. Blend with water and also with gesso.
Lay the large Stencil Tatting by Rebekah Meier from The Crafter’s Workshop on the colored spread and start coloring in with various shades of blue Stamper’s Big Brush pens by Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft.
Lay the small Stencil Be In Love on the right half of the spread as shown and apply Chalkboard Paint.
Ink up a stamp with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper’s Big Brush pen Black and stamp around the spread. Re-ink the stamp as needed.
Use gesso with the Stencil Grow Page to layer the word ‘grow’ on the left half of the spread. Journal above the word to finish.
Here’s my finished art journal spread.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my process unfold. I am grateful to Jaime and Cheryl from The Crafter’s Workshop for this fun guest blogging opportunity! And to Rebekah Meier for designing such cool stencils for us.
