Hello friends! This is Carmen and this is a bittersweet blog post for me. It is my last project for The Crafter’s Workshop Design Team. I can’t believe the year has flown by. I have met so many creative people and I’m so grateful to their corporate office for the support they’ve given me. I truly love these stencils and will continue using them.
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.
Supplies I used for this project…
- TCW593 Doodled Pattern
- TCW623 Life Words
- Gesso
- Molotow Pen
- Americana Acrylic Paint: Soft Black, Sapphire, Bleached Sand, Spa Blue
- DecoArt Media Mist Spray: Turquoise
After applying Gesso to the art journal page, I painted on Americana Acrylic in Sapphire, Bleached Sand and Spa Blue to the entire page.
Once dry, I spritzed on DecoArt Media Shimmer Mister in Turquoise using the Doodled Pattern 12″ x 12″ stencil. On the page next to it, I laid the stencil to capture the negative image with the excess shimmer mist. Now that second page is ready to go for another creation.
To highlight some of the shapes I outlined them with my Molotow acrylic paint in white.
I added some words using the Life Words stencil in 12″ x 12″ and the Soft Black acrylic paint.
I love the words on this stencil, they can be used in so many ways and creations.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and it inspires you to create with words and colors you love.
Thank you to The Crafter’s Workshop team for giving me this opportunity to create for them!
Blessings,
The Crafter’s Workshop Creative Design Team Member
Beautiful!
