Then you’ll love this new stencil.
Comes in both sizes of 12×12 and 6×6
My project today is on a Strathmore Mixed Media Board, 11×14.
I started by brushing white and violet paint on the board in different directions.
I added the wings on with a mixture of Liquitex Glass Bead Texture Gel, heavy gel medium, and Golden Iridescent Pearl paint. Using modeling paste I added the following stencils; Inspirational Word (TCW585) and Organic Matter Mask (TCW565).
Once everything was dry, I used a mixture of Golden’s acrylic glazing medium and Dioxazine Purple paint and brushed it all over the board.
I know, it looks scary.
I waited for a few minutes then took wet paper towels or you can use baby wipes and took off the dark purple. You can keep wiping it off until you like the way it looks.
It leaves lovely dark areas in the stencil images.
I left some of the dark purple in the wings.
Here is it is finished.
Believe it or not, this is the first time I’ve used the Organic Matter stencil. I love it and will definitely be using it again. The wings I adore and will be using them many times.
I hope you love this new stencil as I do.
Look for it in stores soon.
If your store is not carrying it, ask them to carry it.
