Hello crafty people! This is Rachel Kleinman stopping in to share a Halloween art journal page… can you believe it’s just days away?! Where did October go?!
I kept this art journal page pretty simple and clean. There aren’t too many layers so I’ll actually be able to show you the step by step!
The page started with some washi tape bordering the edges of the pages. I covered the tape with a matte medium, then colored it with purple Gelatos.
Over the washi tape I used the new “Sheet Music” 6×6 stencil with black paint. I’m so glad I pulled out this stencil because it is absolutely gorgeous! I can’t wait to use it with holiday cards!
My next layer was adding the circle designs from the new “Raven Mosaic” 12×12 stencil. I mostly added them around the Sheet Music stencils and on top of the washi tape.
Lime green is a new favorite for Halloween color combos! I added some bold numbers and bursts from another new stencil, “Art Deco Numbers and More”.
Finally I added three ravens from both the Raven Mosaic in 12×12 and in 6×6. It’s so handy to have matching stencils in different sizes! After I stenciled in my ravens, I colored a couple of my favorite Stampotique people to add to the page.
Thanks for joining me today! I hope you have a very spooky and spirited Halloween this weekend!
