Hello, today I’m sharing a few cards I made using leftovers from my last post. And a little reindeer told me that Christmas is just around the corner! So why not get started on a few cards. I do apologize I know we are still in October and most people are celebrating Halloween.
Ok, so lets check my cards out and then I will give you a quick how too:
and here are some of the New stencils I used… Totally in love with them too!
Doodling Template – Mini Triangle Sunburst
Doodling Template – Mini Woven
Doodling Template – Art Deco Alphabet
Step 1: So with leftover ink sitting on my stencils I stamped them on a strip of the oly-fun fabric. Allow it to dry and then, cut out a piece so i could us it as a background on my cards.
Step 2: Machine stitch your cut out piece to some Bazzill Basic Cardstock.
Step 3: Grab another piece of bazzill basic cardstock and fold and cut to size to create your blank card. Cut out your title using bazzill basic cardstock. Cut out a deer head using bazzill colored self adhesive foam sheets. Gather other supplies you would like to use as embellishments, cotton thread, epoxy stars, vellum and cork hearts.
Step 4: Staple a small vellum triangle shape to a corner of each card.
Step 5: Grab the deer head, turn over and remove some of the sticky paper, gather some cotton thread and place under deer head and adhere to card. Just where you stapled the vellum.
Step 6: Add a tiny bit of glue the the top of the deer head and place the title there.
Step 7: Adhere the rest of the embellishments and also the card to the card base.
And there you have it. Quick cards in no time at all. This is such a great way to make cards. You don’t have to try and think up 100 ideas. Who has time for that!
A handmade card is always made with love.
I hope you enjoyed this quick tute… and have fun creating!
