Art Journal Page with One Stencil

Hi Friends!  Carmen here with another great project for you. One of the things I love about The Crafter’s Workshop stencils is that they have many 12″ x 12″ stencils with multiple patterns on them.  This makes it so easy to create an art journal page using just one stencil.  And that’s what I did for this week’s project for The Crafter’s Workshop design team.

For this page I’m using TCW525 Screen Print, this is one of my favorite stencils

ScreenPrint

I started the page with a layer of gesso and then acrylic paints in Burlap and Terra Cotta.

I also added some texture and details with some everyday items, bubble wrap, plastic tube and card board paper.

I came across this saying on Pinterest and it really spoke to me.  Sometimes you have to stop second guessing your choices while creating and get it done.

The stencil details can be used in portions and moved around the page to create your own pattern.  With my page I wanted a brick wall effect with a cobweb on it and a dragonfly.  By moving the stencil and different shades of the same colors, I was able to create that.

As you can see, there’s lots of details to this journal page that were created with just the one stencil and some everyday items.

Hope you enjoyed today’s project and make sure to visit again soon!

Blessings,
