Hi Karenliz here. I live in the Northeast and winter just won’t give up. So I stay nice and warm in my art room thinking of Spring.
For the canvas I used:
- Daily Buzz Stencil (TCW528)
- 12×4 Stretched Canvas
- Viva Inka Gold Metallic Rub
- Acrylic paint in purples and grey
- Imaginecrafts Creative Medium in Gold
- Glass Beads – Gold
I applied Gesso on the canvas with a old credit card. I made sure I left lines in the Gesso to add texture. I let it dry for a few minutes then in a ventilated area I used my heat gun to dry the Gesso and let it bubble. I added water downed paints to add color here and there and sprayed with water to let the color get in the nooks and crannies of the dried Gesso.
I used Creative Medium in gold through the stencil and while it was wet I added gold glass beads. Once it was dry, I added additional paint here there on the butterflies and flowers.
As you can see when everything was dry I used the gold metallic rub on the piece. I just added to the textured areas.
Here is the finished piece.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
