Layers in a Layout

Hello everyone! Miae here to share my last project and post for The Crafter’s Workshop. I’ve had such a wonderful time being a part of TCW for the past year.

For my final project, I made a layout (my favorite kind of project to make) using some my favorite mediums. And here’s me and my family to bid you all adieu!

Miae Rowe_TCW_Our Family (1)I started with a sheet of watercolor paper and painted this background.

Next, I took TCW540s Striped Flower Circle and directly colored the stencil with Faber Castell Big Brush Pens…

…sprayed the stencil and color with water and stamped down on the cardstock.

Miae Rowe_TCW_Our Family (7)After this, I used TCW554 Butterfly Collage with super heavy gesso.

Miae Rowe_TCW_Our Family (8)When the gesso dried, I replaced the stencil exactly over the gessoed design and colored the circle with Shive Oil Paintstiks.

Miae Rowe_TCW_Our Family (9)Some paint splatters, glitter and embellishments and I’m done. Here’s some close ups:

Well, that’s all for me! I hope you’ve liked my projects. I know I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here and thank you all for your comments! And thanks to The Crafter’s Workshop crew for all your support and generosity!

Cheers,

Miae Rowe
