Hey there creatives! Rita Barakat here and I am super excited to share this pocket watch project with you! Believe it or not this is chipboard!
My base is this chipboard pocket watch “Arts Parts” by Wendi Vecchi. I covered it with Gesso and Gelatos.
I used TCW470 Geometric Art Layers stencil to paint another layer of Gelatos. This is such a great stencil because there are several designs on one stencil!
Then I used a layer of Glaze with TCW488 Viva la art stencil. Another great stencil with several designs!
Here it is dry, then I went over it with some metallic embossing powders.
I filled in the edges with Big Stampers Brush, and added one of my girls in the center.
While the embossing powder was hot I added this little heart charm and a brad to secure the pieces together.
This close up shows all the fun layers.
Here it is open, I added some Icelets (Poly fill) on the inside.
Here is the back, same concept but it always comes out different with embossing powders.
I hope this gives you some ideas and maybe an inkling to make your own pocket watch!
