Hi!
Tami Sanders here today and i’d like to share a $ Halloween decor project with you.
I found some black plastic frames on stands on clearance and thought they would be a good base for a Halloween project. I decided to utilize the OBVIOUS perfect 3 letter word to feature in the frames – BOO!
I wanted to make a “distressed” background for each letter, so I rummaged through my TCW stencils and pulled some I thought would work.
Just like kids dressing up in costumes to become something “spooky” for Halloween, these “tame” stencils got a “creepy” vibe with the help of some extra layering and inking!
I started by spritzing some basic patterns on white cardstock then layering on some grungy elements:
“B”: TCW439 Retro Bursts using Pumpkin Pie and Frosted Grape ColorBox Spritzers and TCW490 Tattered Lace with Black and Silver Izink…
“O”: TCW460 Ring Doily using Pumpkin Pie and Lemon Drop ColorBox Spritzers and TCW437 Textured with Black and Silver Izink…
“O”: TCW431 Ripples with Pumpkin Pie, Grasshopper and Frosted Plum ColorBox Spritzers and TCW437 Textured with Black and Silver Izink
The chipboard letters themselves were inked using Mango, Cactus and Anemone Izink, then distressed using Blackbird Cats Eye ColorBox Chalk Ink.
The hat for the skeleton was made using TCW479 Random Stars and Pumpkin Pie and Lemondrop Spritzers…
Remember to reach for stencils from TCW for YOUR holiday crafting!
