A Week of Stamps and Stencils with Viva Las VegaStamps! – Day 1

Welcome, Karenliz here. I’m so excited to be kicking off this weeks Stamps and Stencils using VIVA LAS VEGASTAMPS! and stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop.

Have you heard of Viva Las Vegastamps!? You must go check out their stamps. They are deeply etched pink rubber stamps with amazing detail. If you are looking for that one stamp that you wished someone designed I bet you can find it at Viva Las Vegastamps!.

Today I have an art journal page that I created with a beautiful stamp from Viva Las Vegastamps! and The Crafter’s Workshop Stencils.

Here are my supplies:
Viva Las Vegastamps!: Victorian Flourish
TCW485s – Coptic Impressions
TCW490s – Tattered Lace
TCW361s – Tiny Circles
TCW480s – Number Stencil
TCW251s – Mini Branches
Distress Inks: Shaded Lilac, Broken China
Distress Spray: White Linen
Personal Images: Swans

My art journals are a great place for me to play with new stamps and stencils.  First, I decided to use the stencils to create the background with Distress Inks.

On top of the background I added White Linen Distress Spray and some more Blue China Distress Ink. When the background was dry I added the Mini Branches stencil with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink.

Looking at my page it felt like I was looking down into the water so the Victorian Flourish stamp would be perfect to add to the water with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and then I added my swans.  Here you can see a closer look where I added the stamp.

I added more of the Victorian Flourish stamp and baby swans to the page. I think this might be my favorite page.

So grab your http://www.vlvstamps.com/index.php/ and The Crafter’s Workshop Stencils and lets play!

Don’t forget to check back each day to see what The Design Team created with Viva Las Vegastamps! and stencils by The Crafter’s Workshop.

  1. Lovely page! Amazing to see the difference between your first picture and the next (before you applied more blue I mean). Very subtle, and indeed a very Victorian – Lake feel to it.

  2. What a lovely journaling page Karenliz designed! I love the depth she created with the stencils and stamps–the water looks like it’s reflecting things from the shore and really draws the eye to into the water. Wonderful!!!
