Hi!
Tami Sanders here from still VERY sunny and VERY hot San Antonio, Texas. The leaves haven’t started to turn yet and there isn’t much of a nip in the air, but I’ve created a little bit of Fall for my home…
I found this frame at the dollar store and added it to my stash to do “something” with. I liked the 3 windows and thought it would work well for home decor. This project is very inexpensive and simple to make; something even the kids could help with. I started with plain white heavy-weight cardstock. Core’dinations 110lb works really well for this. I layered on a few of the NEW! stencils and spritzed away using ColorBox Spritzers in Autumn colors.
For a little added texture, the spritzed pieces were given one more layer thanks to some stamps found in the Pound O’ Rubber assortment from Viva Las Vegas and ColorBox Harvest Chalk Ink.
The leaves were spritzed with only one template to keep their pretty patterns intact. But they did get a light spritzing to remove some of the WHITE!
The cardstock pieces as well as the leaves were both distressed using Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink.
The verse was added to the glass using a black permanent pen. Cut strips of burlap from 7gypsies – Canvas Corp were used as trim before the leaves were slightly bent and adhered.
I’ve made a Snapguide that takes you through all the steps of this project – including how to use the excess ink left on the stencils after spritzing to make “ghost images” for future projects.
