Hello there! It’s Yvonne here to share how you can put some cardboard to good use and make a card! 🙂
Measure and cut your cardboard to size. Mine is 3×6 inches. Then, tear parts of the cardboard to expose the corrugated parts for texture.
Add a coat of gesso so that the cardboard surface is prepped for the addition of colorants. Then I added some Liquitex ceramic stucco paste with The Crafter’s Workshop TCW 490 Tattered Lace stencil.
When that layer was dry, I went in with some Faber Castell Gelatos.
I added a bit of water to blend the colours. The cardboard is quite porous so try not to saturate it with too much water.
Then comes the fun part…pulling out embellishments in the same colour family and creating an embellishment cluster. Once that was completed, I glued my cardboard art piece to a kraft card base. You can consider adding the piece to a scrapbook page or use it as a tag.
