Hi there! I am still in the middle of creating Christamas cards. I wonder if I´ll be able to finish them in time?? This fast partial masking idea might be helpful for reaching that goal :).
Here is the how-to:
First take a card base, place a preferred stencil (Squiggles) over it and cut yourself a second stencil. I cut a Christmas tree form out of a leftover cardstock piece.
Next wipe some green ink thru the tree stencil onto the card. Remove the stencils.
Now use the tree stencil to outline the inked image. This way your image will look more like a tree :)!
Doodle the sentiment around the card for more interest. Add preferred embellishments for additional decoration and cut a piece of cardstock to for the tree trunk.
Add “Dimensional Pearls” (or other media/embellishments) as ornaments. Let dry.
These are the cards I ended up with. For the second one I used the 6×6 inch stencil called “Dash Circle Dash”.
Wishing you a good time stenciling and crafting!!
xoxo, Sanna
I dont make cards to send, but the idea is very good. I can use it on my project life cards!
thanks so much, Wilma 🙂
