Hi there! Sanna here again. One of my favorite stencils from the new collection this cute leaf stencil “Striped Leaves“. I love this pattern and it is just perfect for fall cards, layouts and other projects. But it also goes really well with playground/park photos. This is my son playing in the park with all his favorite toys. I wanted to use the stencil to create a background for this photo, so I mixed some structure paste with different blueish and light green spray inks (I´ve shown how I do this on this post).
I started by applying the darkest structure paste tone with a palette knife here and there, next I just applied the lighter colours on the open spaces and that created a really nice color effect on the background. I wanted to really showcase the background so I kept the rest of the layout pretty simple.
The only additional effect here is a baby wipe I used to clean my tools. It had this really nice grass green tone, so I just tore it into pieces and glued those strips behind the photo.
I always save pieces of paper I have experimented on with stencil and colors and here I used one of those papers for creating a personalized ampersand for my title. I just doodled thru the “And So On” stencil onto the paper with a black pen and fussy cut the image.
And this is my finished layout. I hope you enjoy this little step-by-step.
Happy stenciling!!!
See you soon,
xoxo, Sanna
