Cyndi’s Project {Stenciled} Life

Hi this is Cyndi aka “The Scrappy Chick” here with you today to share a Project Life layout.  I am thrilled to be guest blogging for The Crafter’s Workshop!  Thanks Jaime for inviting me!

I thought it would be fun to do my pics from a recent Trade Show that I attended where I finally got to meet Jaime in person!  Here’s the double spread:PL-whole

For this panel I sprayed randomly through an assortment of TCW stencils ( Subway, Pie Chart, and Eye Chart all in 6×6) with Dylusions ink sprays and then dabbed black paint through the 6×6 Casey and Penelope stencil so I would have a blank black canvas on which to add journaling.

This panel (as well as the last) is done on Mixed Media paper.  I dabbed Picked Raspberry Distress paint through the Church Windows stencil and then sprayed Vibrant Turquoise Dylusions through a part of the Urban Landscape stencil (I masked the words off with painters tape)  I later added a piece of turquoise cardstock stenciled with Thursday from the Weekly Circles stencil.

A few of my panels I sprayed Dylusions onto colored cardstock pieces to see what would happen and I love the result!  Fun slightly more subtle colors!  For this one I used the Subway and Urban Landscapes stencils again.PL3

Back to the Mixed Media paper for this one (this stuff is so thick and amazing!  Jaime turned me on to using this as backgrounds for my stenciling during the class she taught.  It’s great to spray large pieces and then cut them up for the sizes needed!  Since Project Life offers so may different sizes in the various configurations this is perfect!PL6

On this one I sprayed through the Eye Chart stencil again for a bit of texture under the Cityscape stencil that was done using black paint.PL4

Finally for this one I had sprayed a large piece of green cardstock with the larger 12×12 Cityscape Stencil and it turned out to be perfect to matte a photo onto!PL5
