Valentine’s Day Happy Mail

What began as 3 pieces of junk mail, ended up as 3 pieces of Valentine’s Day happy mail.

Note: I am a Design Team member for The Crafter’s Workshop; however, even though I use and love their products, all opinions are solely my own.

Supplies:
TCW9006 Gloss Gel Medium, TCW9001 White Gesso,
TCW9007 Clear Gesso
TCW9020 Raspberry Sorbet, TCW9016 Spun Sugar,
TCW9015 Black Licorice
TCW737 Love Sonnet 12” x 12” & 6” x 6”,
TCW754 Distressed Details 6” x 6”

To begin, I applied Gloss Gel Medium to both sides of the postcards to adhere dictionary pages. Once dry, I painted on a light coat of White Gesso on both sides.

To get a beautiful light pink color, I mixed Raspberry Sorbet with Spun Sugar.

I used Distressed Details to stencil a different pattern on each of the cards.

Next, I used the large and small Love Sonnet to stencil the word “LOVE” all over the cards, front and back. After I dried them thoroughly, I applied a coat of Clear Gesso to seal them.

Finally a quick run through on my sewing machine, and the cards were finished and ready to send to 3 of my Valentines. This project was so quick and easy to complete.

Thanks for dropping by The Crafter’s Workshop blog. You can also scoot over to my blog at arteverydaystudio.blogspot.com. Like I always say, “Art in the Studio makes every day a good day.”

Until next time, keep making art, friends!

Patty 😉
