Found Inspiration card

Good Morning all! Helen here with a “hidden” inspirational card for you. I’m sure most of you find yourself lacking inspiration at times… I know I do! These past few weeks, I have found no mojo in my life… until… I was cleaning my bathroom and saw a new Kleenex box I put on the counter and was totally inspired to make a card using TCW products. It’s amazing what inspiration is around us if we just look at things in a different way.

Finished card from a found inspiration.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project.

The opinions I share are solely my own.

TCW Products Used:

TCW963 Hanging Vines stencil

TCW965 Barberry Buds stencil

TCW2201 Sending Love clear stamps

TCW2208 Precious Sentiments clear stamps

Here is the inspiration I “found” for today’s project! It just screamed at me to try this using stencils and stamps from The Crafter’s Workshop!

Finding inspiration around the house is a good way to get those creative juices flowing! I found this tissue box and was inspired for this card I made today!

I gathered 3 different greens from my ink stash: lightest to darkest. I then used TCW963 Hanging Vines stencil and TCW965 Barberry Buds stencil and inked through the stencils with a sponge starting with the lightest ink colour and working my up to the darkest. I used both stencils randomly on a 6” x 6” piece of heavy cardstock.

Using TCW963 Hanging Vines stencil and TCW965 Burberry Buds stencil, I sponged a light green randomly over a 6"x6" piece of cardstock for the first layer of leaves on the card.
First layer using lightest colour.
Using the same stencils, sponge the medium green color randomly throughout both stencils.
Medium green randomly through both stencils.
Use a darker green to do the same as the previous steps.
Add the darkest green randomly though the stencils.

After the inking was completed, I stamped 3 flowers from TCW2201 Sending Love clear stamps  and heat embossed them using black embossing powder. I cut these out for later.

Use TCW2201 Sending Love clear stamp set and heat emboss 3 of thef lowers using black embossing powder. Fussy cut these out for later.

I heat embossed “Hello” from TCW2201 Sending love clear stamp set and cut this out into a rectangle.

I heat embossed “Hello” from TCW2201 Sending love clear stamp set and cut this out into a rectangle.

I matted my base to a green cardstock, added the sentiment and flowers as shown.  I was pretty happy with the end result… and all from seeing that new box of tissues!

To finish the card, I matted the background with green cardstock, matted the sentiment, added this and the flowers to the card, and voila! A "found inspiration" card!

Thanks for taking the time to see my project for today and share your “found inspiration” with us!

We would love to see your projects made with TCW products!
