Inspirational Art Cards

Good Morning all! Helen here with some inspirational art cards for you today. I usually make a set of 4 inspirational cards each season to set upon my desk. I especially love fallen flower images, they give me a sense of calmness for some weird reason! Today I am sharing my spring cards!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project.

The opinions I share are solely my own.

The Crafter’s Workshop product used:

To start, I used a sheet of TCW9051 Watercolor paper as this takes a lot of wetness and I wasn’t sure what mediums I was going to end up using.  I first gessoed the whole page using TCW9007 Clear Gesso. Once this dried, I used TCW963 Hanging Vines stencil and sponged yellow paint randomly over the whole page.

After this dried, I used pink paint and sponged through the circle part of TCW966 Marrakesh Tiles stencil  over the page. And then used green paint and TCW966 Marrakesh Tiles stencil to add color to the white areas using the favorite part of this stencil!

I then used the other corner of TCW966 Marrakesh Tiles stencil and green paint to fill in more color.

To tone down the colors a bit, I brayered lightly over the page using TCW9001 White Gesso.

I cut the bigger sheet into 4 cards, approximately 3.5″ x 4.5″.Using some black archival ink, I inked through TCW2314 Punch card slimline stencil into opposite corners.

First I cut the large paper into 4 smaller cards, each about 3.5" x 4.5".I used TCW2314 Punch card slimline stencil and some black archival ink to add some black to opposite corners of each card.

To finish off the cards, I stitched around the outside edge with my sewing machine, added some lace and added the photos that were matted with black cardstock. Lastly, I added inspirational words.
