Black Paper and Stencil Butters A Perfect Match

Today I’m going to show you what I created on a piece of black card stock with Pearl White stencil butter. Stencils butters have such wonderful shimmer and are perfect for dark backgrounds.

I used the following: TCW203 Circle Grid, TCW2302 Star Sparkle, Pearl White Stencil Butter , and TCW5034 Single Star

The Crafters Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

On a 5×7 piece of black card stock I started adding the Circle Grid stencil with blue paint.

I continued to add more with various shades of blue. Next I used blue metallic paint to add the star from the Star Sparkle Slimeline stencil.

By taking some Pearl White Stencil Butter mixing it with metallic paint, I added the Single Star stencil to the the black paper.

I added more of the Star Sparkle stencil with the same paste. Also, you can add water to the paste and use it to splatter it on the paper as I did. I used a heat gun to dry the stars which made the stencil butter bubble. Before doing this please make sure you are in a well ventilated area.

To finish my it, I added an astronaut plus some more star with the Pearl White Stencil Butter.

I love using the stencil butters on the dark background. Have you tried it yet?

If you use TCW Stencils, stamps and mediums in your art, we would love it see it. Please share it with us on our Facebook pageInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.
