Easter Lily Card

Hello! Nadine here again today sharing how I created this monochromatic Easter Lily card.

The Crafter’s Workshop has provided me with some of the products to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

To create the background for my card, I first started with a 2″ strip of white cardstock and then ink blended a light purple ink over the entire piece.

Next, I used the TCW2318 Flying Butterflies Slimline Stencil and with a slightly darker purple ink and after the lighter ink was fully dried, I ink blended the butterflies over the lighter purple. Then sprinkled some clear embossing powder over the stenciled area and heat embossed it to give them a shiny appearance.

Then on the front of the white card base on one side, I repeated the same thing with the butterfly stencil. Then I adhered the first strip I made onto the front of the card base on one side and added a thin strip of glitter paper. Stamped some Lilies and added them to the front and also a sentiment and then my card was done.

  1. Hi, just read the blog with the Easter Lily and the butterfly background. Beautiful card. As I was closely looking at the light purple side, I noticed that the stenciled darker purple butterflies near the bottom looked embossed. I re-read the instructions and didn’t see anything about using a butter or embossing powder. Could you please explain how the butterflies were made so shiny? Thanks
