Butterflies are Nature’s Confetti Bookmark

Good morning friends! It’s been awhile since I created a bookmarked on the blog so I made one for the spring! I hope you like it! I think it’s so pretty! And best of all, it was pretty simple to make!

Disclaimer: “The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.”

To begin, I cut a bookmark from a metal die using my Sizzix. Then, I colored the bookmark with blue ink. I was undecided on using blue or a green background so I did both. In the end, I did not like the green and it went in the trash. But I love the blue. 🙂

Next, I mixed the Ocean Blue, Orchid and Turquoise stencil butter with light and fluffy. The reason I decided to mix the stencil butters with the Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste is because I wanted to create a serene card. Without the Light and Fluffy paste, it would be too shiny! Shinny is OK, too…if that’s the look you’re going for!

Remember… a little goes a long way! I mixed a tiny bit of stencil butter with the Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste.

I used a palette knife to run the stencil butter through the TCW2313 Monarch Trio Slim Stencil and I applied heat using a heat gun to speed up the drying time before applying the other butterflies.

I stamped some small flowers onto paper and fussy cut them to glue to the center of the butterflies to add dimension. Next, I stamped the “Butterflies are Nature’s Confetti” sentiment and “Fly High, Fly Far” sentiment from the TCW2209 Beautiful Sentiments Stamp Set.

I hope you found this post inspiring! Thank you so much for visiting today!
