You’re Perfect to Me Heart Ornament

Hello friends! I have a fun Heart Ornament tutorial to share with you today. I created this ornament using the TCW944 Monarch Journal 6×6 stencil, Sublimation Markers, and Sublimation Heart Ornament. It’s something different and I thought you may enjoy seeing how easy these are to make! I plan on giving this to my hubby for Valentines Day.

Disclaimer: “The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with product to create this post. The opinions I share are solely my own.”

What are Sublimation Markers?

Magic Ink that transfers their beautiful colors from plain copy paper to a polyester product with a heat source. Iron-on-Ink Markers are the way to personalize sublimation, which is specifically formulated inks that transfer only when activated with heat.

To begin, I traced the heart ornament onto a plain piece of copy paper using a pencil so that I knew how much space I had to work with.

Next, I moved the stencil around to see what patterns I wanted to create onto the heart.

I taped down the stencil using washi tape to prevent the stencil from slipping while coloring in the images. Then, I colored in the patterns through the stencil using sublimation markers.

Using Heat Tape, I taped down the Heart Ornament with the images facing up towards the ornament.

Then, Create your sublimation sandwich. One protective paper sheet at the bottom and one sheet at the top of the project.

Set your heat press to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and timer for 60 seconds. Make sure you place your project in your heat source image facing up. If using a home iron, make sure there is no water in the iron.*

After your timer has completed, make sure to let your project cool down before touching it. Carefully, remove the heat tape and protective paper to reveal your vivid design. Embellish as desired! I used Matte Gel to glue down the embellishments and the sentiment on the back of the ornament.

I really like how the heart looks like a dream catcher! The blue and light blue together looks so pretty. Thank you for visiting today!
