Bright and Fluorescent Holiday Décor

I really love nontraditional colors for Christmas. Fluorescent colors are my favorite especially pink, yellow, and blue. Mixing those colors give you even more options.

I used the following:

The Crafters Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

I started with a 6″ round wood panel.

I sprayed a little water on the board and dripped fluorescent acrylic inks on it. I let the inks move wherever they wanted but I let it dry for the next step. Look at that color explosion!

When it dried, I added the Poinsettia stencil to the board with black modeling paste with Orchid Stencil Butter swirled in.

You’ve got to admit that looks pretty cool, right? To make the swirl, mix the two together gently. When you see the swirl in the mixture you’ll know it’s ready.

To finish it I added a little yellow and orange to the flower centers.

This was so fun to make. I think this would look great as a holiday card too. Do you use nontraditional colors for your holiday décor? Tag it with #tcwstencillove so we can see it.
