A Bad Mood art journal spread

Happy Wednesday all! Today I have a grumpy little art journal spread for you! We all have bad days, sometimes weeks, but that shouldn’t stop you from playing for a few minutes every once in a while. It can actually make you feel better.. just like this little art journal spread did for me! It’s been a couple crazy weeks, and I did not have time to play, but I just HAD to get in my art room and do a quick page so I felt like I was creative. It only took a short time before I felt ready to tackle the next thing on my to-do list.

Finished art journal spread.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project.

The opinions I share are solely my own.

The Crafter’s Workshop Products Used:

TCW2317 Fence grid Slimline Stencil

TCW9001 White Gesso

TCW2314 Punch card Slimline Stencil

I used my 5×8 journal for this quick page…. I used some blue paint and brushed it over my

TCW2317 Fence grid Slimline Stencil  in the top left, top right and bottom right of the page.

Using blue acrylic paint, I brushed over some areas of TCW2317 Fence grid Slimline Stencil  in the in the top left, right and bottom right corners.

I love this blue, but it was too bold for what I was looking for, so I used some water downed TCW9001 White Gesso and a brush, and did a wash over the entire page.

Better now! And I am feeling less grumpy! While the gesso was still a bit wet,

I used TCW2314 Punch card Slimline Stencil and wiped away some areas over the underlying blue using a baby wipe.

I used some TCW9001 White gesso, and watered it down to do a wash over the dark blue. While the gesso was a bit wet, I placed TCW2314 Punchcard Slimline Stencil over the areas where the blue was and wiped off these areas with a baby wipe.

To finish off, I added some blue splatters, my grumpy little girl and a snarky saying!

Now I am feeling better! Back to my to-do list! And remember, even 10 minutes of art play can make you happy!

Thanks for taking the time to see my project for today!

We would love to see your projects made with TCW products!
