“In my garden” Mixed Media art Journal

Hello Crafty friends,

Here comes autumn and its magnificent shimmering colors. I tried to represent them in this Art Journal page. I used TCW2314 Punch Card, TCW942 Tulip Hexagons, TCW2312 Leaf Study and TCW578 Whimsical Shrooms.

I start by making the background. First, I tear pieces of magazines that I stick on the page with TCW9011 Matte Gel Medium.

To finish the background, I spray some ink in spray in shades of brown, green and gold. I also spray a little water at the end.

I use TCW942 Tulip Hexagons with Distress Oxide purple ink and TCW2314 Punch Card with TCW9081 Pearl White Stencil Butter for texture.

With TCW2312 Leaf Study and TCWTurquoise, Terre Verte, Orchid I do the leaves on TCW9051 Watercolor Paper.

I sprinkle a little gold powder on the leaves before the texture dries. Then I cut them out. I add some watercolor paints.

I make the mushrooms with TCW578 Whimsical Shrooms and TCW9005 White Modeling Paste. After drying, I put color, small white dots with a marker and I cut them. I add a little rabbit found in a magazine.

I place all the elements on the page, glue the leaves, I choose the central character and I glue the mushrooms.

I splash the page with small white spots with TCW9001 White Gesso using a damp toothbrush.

I finish by sticking butterflies at the top and behind the girl. I cut out and paste the title. I add a pumpkin at the bottom. I add colors on the girl’s sweater.

More details.

Here is the result, thanks for stopping by today, I hope my tutorial inspired you! Do not hesitate to leave me a small comment, thank you!
