Mixed Media Board – Memories

Memories Mixed media board - TCW737, TCW725, TCW704

Hello TCW crafters

Cracked out the gold and copper pastes for this one… and I am loving them! A quick mixed media board project as a gift for a friend. Hope you enjoy what I created!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own

The Crafter’s Workshop used within this page:

TCW9053 – Mixed media board 6×6
TCW737 – Love Sonnet
TCW725 – Wild Blooms
TCW704 – Cone Flowers

TCW9009 – Black Modeling Paste
TCW9037 – Grecian Gold Modeling Paste
T
CW9039 – Copper Penny Modeling Paste
TCW9025 – Palette knife

If you enjoy seeing a page come together quickly, you can just go shead and watch the process video below. Captions within the video will tell you what products I have used along the way.

…here is how the page came together step-by-step…

1 – Start with a fresh piece of mixed media board. Glue a piece of vintage dictionary paper to the board with TCW9011 – Matte Gel Medium

2 – Taking stencil TCW737 – Love Sonnet stencil through with a light pink acrylic paint warming up the paint with some brown tones towards the bottom of the board

3 – Next use TCW725 – Wild blooms and TCW9009 Black modeling paste to create dark florals over the lighter background

4 – Using TCW9039 – Copper Penny modeling paste and TCW9037 – Grecian Gold modeling paste stencil through both the large 12″and the smaller 6″ version of TCW704 – Cone Flowers. I stenciled onto kraft card to tone with the background.

5 – I darkened the background board edges with watercolours in browns and deep reds, as well as colour one of the stenciled cone flowers with dark brown for contrast.

6 – I fussy cut one large gold cone flower and one small copper cone flower and attach to the design with 3D foam squares.

7 – Lastly, I add a word “Memories” and some gold splatters to the back ground.

I do hope you have enjoyed this walk through of my page. Hopefully it gives you a little inspiration to crack open some metallic pastes or use some mixed media board in your next projects

Enjoy!

Dani x
