Cards ~ Play Time with Stencil Butter

Hi! Hello friends! I made six cards today to show you this very easy stenciling technique using my
favorite medium, Stencil Butter!

TCW provided me with some awesome goodies to play with, but the opinions and creations are my own.

My original idea was to apply stencil butter on acetate and once dry, cut it out and adhere to a card base. Well, you know how I love to veer off course. I made two cards with acetate and the other four with heavyweight cardstock.

I applied Fuschia, Orchid, and Turquoise stencil butter to three different cards. The Fuschia to the TCW929 Felicia Daisy and A2 sized acetate. Use washi tape to secure the stencil. The butterfly stencils are TCW934 Sunny Butterfly and TCW933 Joyous Butterfly.

You can choose to let it dry with the stencil (the butter will not harm the stencils) but if there is too much overlap of dried butter, it may pull off the dried butter through the stencil. Does that make sense?

This is a fun new stencil, TCW953, and is perfect for Fall, Y’all!! LOL! I placed this one on acetate.

The next step is a fun way to make stamps “your own”. Once the ink is dry from stamping, place Glossy Accents over it. This makes it look like an enamel pin. And it adds shine!

It dries clear and hard. You can cut this with regular scissors.

Now for the final results! I added 3D Embossing folders for dimensional backgrounds, wired antennae to the butterflies, and tiny gemstones to the center of the flower. These are all A2-sized top folding cards.

I used brads to secure the acetate to the cardstock.

Which is your favorite??? Aren’t these so fun…and easy??? I hope you try one of these cards!

I hope you have a fabulous week!
