Good morning! Nicole here with a fun home decor project I created to get the little man excited for 6th Grade! As I type this up, I pray that they do not decide to do another year of virtual learning. I need him in the classroom.

To begin, I painted all of the wooden blocks using acrylic paint and let it dry. Once the blocks were completely dry, I used White Modeling Paste and the TCW2304 Bricks Vertical Slimline Stencil to create the bricks.
I painted the wooden bell using the Platinum Modeling Paste. I just smeared it all over the wooden bell using my fingers.
I mixed the Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste with the Gamboge Stencil Butter to create the medium for the wooden pencil. Next, I mixed the Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste with the Fuchsia Stencil Butter to create a light pink color for the eraser. 🙂 I used whatever was left from the eraser to create the pink stars on the block using the TCW2302 Star Sparkle Slimline Stencil. I painted the metal part of the pencil using the Platinum Modeling Paste. I had so much fun creating this… seriously, I just loved the process of creating.
Next, I used the TCW2303 Rock Wall Slimline Stencil and the Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste to create a pattern similar to what’s on a real composition notebook. I used the Matte Gel Medium to glue all of the pieces together.
I didn’t really like how this turned out so I painted all over the Light and Fluffy to keep the book all black, but I like the texture it created!
Here are some close-ups of the pieces on the tier tray. Isn’t this super cute!? I cut fabric and glued it behind the door and windows to make it look like curtains. I plan on writing on the chalkboards… I just need to get some chalk so that I can write “Welcome 6th Graders” on one and Good Luck on the other. 🙂
