“Ready for the beach” Mixed Media Art Journal

Hello Crafty Friends,

Marie-Christine with you today for a day at the beach. It’s sunny, it’s hot, let’s dive into this blue sea among the fish. Here I used TCW851 Dotted Rings and TCW855 Linked Tiles.

I start by making the background by gluing torn pieces of printed rice paper with TCW9006 Gel Medium Gloss.

I continue by applying Distress ink around the rice paper.

You can see that the Distress ink does not adhere to the Gel Medium Gloss, which gives an original effect to your creations. Conversely, acrylic paint adheres perfectly to the gel.

I do some white spots with TCW9001 White Gesso.

I use TCW855 Linked Tiles with Distress ink on the top of the page.

And TCW851 Dotted Rings at the bottom with TCW Stencil Butter Turquoise.

Here I put texture with TCW9005 White Modeling Paste and TCW855 Linked Tiles. Once dry, I put some color on the patterns with green watercolor paint. I removed the excess modeling paste before it dries.

I adhere the vintage image found on Pinterest and I draw some white circles with a marker.

Here some more details!

I print, cut and paste the title.

More texture details.

Here is the result, thanks for stopping by today, I hope my tutorial inspired you! Do not hesitate to leave me a small comment, thank you!
